PARENTS ASSOCIATION MEETING 20/11/12
Minutes of the meeting:
Attendees: Francisca, Beatriz, Donna, Masud, Izabela, Anupama, Maia, Gema, Barbara.

1. Second Movie Plan:
A) To speed up the queues, children will pay only at the entrance table, and the tuck shop will be at a different table.
B) All movies will be tested before Friday, to avoid any delays in the evening.
DATE: 30th November, 6.30 to 8pm.
Movies: The Never Ending Story/The Goonies/Astroboy

2. School Calendars –
100 calendars and 100 packs of 6 cards are being printed and expected to be ready by next week. It was agreed to sell the calendars to our own friends and relatives, and to have some in the office or parents’ room for those who want to buy.
Sale Prices for calendars will be:
1 Calendar @ €6 or 2 calendars for €10
1 pack of 6 Cards @ €4 or 2 packs for €7.
3. School pictures from last year- update:
The funds donated to the PA from the school pictures by Bandarandam were €200. This amount was lodged into the PA account last week. Thanks to Nash and Lina for their contribution.
4. Badminton for parents on Friday Evenings, still running.
5. Mobile phone collection in exchange of i -pads for children with ASD
This item needs to go to the board for approval.
6. Fundraiser idea: Second hand sale (Francisca)
It was agreed that we’ll need to discuss with the other two schools and organise this event for the Adamstown community hopefully during Spring 2013.
A ‘market’ is to be set up where people can rent a table, and they will be allowed to sell their own items, keeping their profit. Also cake sale, tea, coffee can be done to fundraise for the school.
7. Christmas Disco committee: Izabela, Maia, Anu.
Santa’s Grotto, with pictures and presents for the children.
2 lt milk bottles needed to make the grotto.
Maia to get prices for Santa’s hats.
8. Christmas get together: FRIDAY 21ST DECEMBER
Parents Association are organising a dinner for parents. Donna will look into three restaurants and the group will decide on the venue. More details will follow.
